Highland Warrior has solid claims on the evidence of his latest success over course and distance but has, along with Zarzu, been done few favours with the draw so preference is for Judd Street. The selection has done little wrong in two starts so far and has ground conditions to suit plus the advantage of the plum draw in stall one. Bond City has claims on form but is undoubtedly better on a softer surface than he encounters today. Anything that David Nicholls sends out in a big sprint has to be respected and he saddles no fewer than four runners here with Plateau and Merlin's Dancer looking the pick of his quartet, while another of his contenders Handsome Cross could do with faster ground and a better draw. There are no such problems for Judd Street though and he gets the vote.
