Great View, He's A Star and Cormorant Wharf are the three for the shortlist here and Great View is taken to lead them home. Cormorant Wharf is in good heart having won at Bath and chased home Great View at Newmarket. The Bath win came on good to soft ground but although the ground will be distinctly quicker here, this versatile performer, who has been busy with some success on the all weather this winter, has also shown some form on fast ground and with the stable going well, looks sure to be thereabouts. He's A Star ran well to be second at Wolverhampton last time and won twice on the all weather this winter. He also won at Leicester off a six pound lower mark in July and can go well here. After a promising seasonal re-appearance at Beverley, Great View stepped up on that effort when scoring at Newmarket and can confirm the form with runner up Cormorant Wharf on four pound worse terms. That win was on an easy surface but a fast ground success at Carlisle in September suggests the surface should not present a problem. Great View gets the vote.
