    Verdict

    DEPUTISE couldn’t cope with a mark of 85 on his handicap debut at York but is unpenalised in this conditions race, despite having already won at Wolverhampton and Chester – it will be a surprise if William Haggas’ colt doesn’t resume winning ways. Armageddon looks the danger having got off the mark at the second attempt at Haydock. Diamonique justified market support in a nursery here a week ago but will need to improve again to follow up. Swinging Eddie showed speed at Haydock so a drop back to 5f might help but it’s difficult to make a case for Magical Duchess.
