Verdict

Lydia Pearce has placed Bartholomew J expertly to complete a Yarmouth hat-trick and Gavin Ashton, who was on board last time, can claim 5lb here. Luv U Whatever made all to land an amateurs' event at Newbury but couldn't quite handle a 6lb penalty at Musselburgh and is on the same mark here. AKAMANTO has also been front-running and battled on gamely when tackled at Ayr. He's only up 2lb and can go in again. Princess Nearco landed a Thirsk handicap in June after a long absence but has been beaten a long way in both subsequent starts. Careyanne has won two Class 6 handicaps this summer but was a bit disappointing at Epsom when well supported. Foresee, who was racing in better company from much higher marks last summer, showed a little bit more at Chepstow on his return from a long break and has been dropped 3lb.
