Verdict

BEATBOXER, a $650,000 yearling, could have been expected to step-up markedly in grade after an impressive debut at Sandown but has a Group 2 entry next month so this will do for now. He has 6lb to concede to Summer Moon, who was beaten 4l when runner-up at Doncaster, but should be capable of doing so. Wojood made a promising start at Newbury, staying on over that 7f when the race was all over and he's one to keep on the right side while Hoffa is certain to improve from his staying-on effort at Redcar. Les Eyre wouldn't have many $100,000 yearlings in his yard and Amber Rock is one to note for the future.
