In depth

Verdict

Jack Of Trumps lines up in top form and should take the beating, with Jeepstar, Mr Tambourine Man and Easibet Dot Net in with a shout. Jack Of Trumps has displayed real battling qualities this summer, gaining recent victories at York and Goodwood under today's pilot Francis Norton. Given his rapid improvement, he can still race off just 78 here so with conditions very much in his favour, should take all the beating. Jeepstar took the corresponding event last year off a six-pound lower mark and has been in fair form this term, but has it to do against the selection. Mr Tambourine Man has yet to win over a mile and a half but is a course winner, while Easibet Dot Net gained his first Turf success at Hamilton in July, and although he will go on the ground, will be susceptible to an attack from behind with his style of running. Kid'z'play has won three times here and may go well at a big price, but in reality they all have it to do to stop Jack Of Trumps from completing a four-timer.
