In depth
Verdict
Suggestive holds all the aces and is a worthy favourite ahead of Anthemion and Ho Leng. Winner of a Listed event at York last year, Willie Haggas's five-year-old has failed to get his head in front so far this season, but reappeared on the Knavesmire to run fourth in Group 2 company in May. Beaten by the progressive Tarjman ay Yarmouth, Suggestive has not been disgraced in Group company since, his latest effort being a fine fourth to Nayyir in the Lennox Stakes at Goodwood. All that form reveals that the son of Reprimand will be hard to beat and he is a worthy favourite. For the forecast spot, the classy if luckless Ho Leng may prove too strong for Anthemion. Linda Perratt's charge has taken on the best in his time and is very capable at this level. He can hold Anthemion who had the misfortune to run into the gambled-on Prince's Theatre at Carlisle, running well to hold onto second. That form is well below that required here though, and Suggestive cannot be opposed.
