Verdict
Some useful juveniles line up for the nursery, with Celtic Thunder the selection to beat Fyodor, Divine Spirit and Shank On Fourteen. Celtic Thunder opened his account at Beverley in July, after which, trainer Tim Etherington reported that he was idling a bit, unlike when he was being broken in, as he had proved very headstrong. The plan was to put him away for a nursery campaign, and he duly returned to action in that sphere three weeks ago, finishing a close second to Dispol Katie, giving weight and experience away to the winner. He should go close here under Darryll Holland. Fyodor made all at Pontefract on only his third racecourse start and makes his nursery bow. Still growing and immature, he will pay to follow next year. Divine Spirit makes a quick reappearance after coming out best of those drawn low in the DBS St Leger Yearling Stakes at Doncaster three days ago. Providing he is over that, Michael Dodds' gelding looks sure to play a part, as does Shank On Fourteen, although his consistency has earned him topweight. Borzoi Maestro and Green Manalishi add spice to a competitive event, but Celtic Thunder is our selection.
