Verdict
Alpine Special looks the one to be on here, his main dangers being Fool's Entire and Atlantic City. The Pat Haslam-trained selection has proven consistent this term and good runs in nurseries at Newmarket and Goodwood on his last two outings give him a big shout here. He has also shown that a mile seems to suit him. With Mick Channon's stable in such good form, Fool's Entire, who has a solid level of form in the context of this race, should go well, while Atlantic City is a half-brother to three winners, including Suggestive who runs earlier on the card. He should improve for his debut run and cannot be discounted. With Valiant Air being well beaten on his debut, the road leads us back to Alpine Special, who gets the nomination.
