In depth

Verdict

There should be more to come from DESERT FOREST who can confirm form with Killing Moon with Jozafeen possibly best of the remainder. The handicapper has handed out a 2lb rise to Desert Forest for his half length defeat of Killing Moon over seven furlongs which could turn out to be on the generous side. He proved slightly disappointing on his final start of 2009 when tried in cheekpieces but there was no doubting his attitude on his seasonal reappearance and he's expected to improve for this longer trip. Killing Moon is clearly closely matched on that form but his growing sequence of second placed finishes has to be a concern but he seemed to see out a mile well enough at Thirsk on his penultimate start and should be on the premises. Jozafeen must have pleased and frustrated connections in equal measure as she has finished second on four of her six starts and she's entitled to be involved again whilst Raleigh Quay who beat Jozafeen in a maiden here last August is also considered but Desert Forest gets the nod.
