ANNIBALE CARO may be able to get back to winning ways by taking this prize from Planetarium, Golden Future and Birkside. Jim Goldie sends out plenty of winners at this track and Annibale Caro numbers amongst them but it has been over two years since he achieved his course and distance success and two years since his last win anywhere on the Flat. However, he's run some decent races over hurdles in that time and didn't shape badly back on the level last time and showed enough to believe that he can make the most of a 2lb drop in the weights which brings him back down to the mark from which he was last successful. Planetarium was unlucky to bump into Tillietudlem two runs back and has since won over hurdles but he could be vulnerable at this trip whilst Birkside posted another solid effort when a couple of places in front of him at Hamilton last time. Golden Future is also worth bearing in mind having won readily over hurdles last time and this trip may turn out to be his optimum on the level but ready preference is for Annibale Caro.
