      Verdict

      Sparkle In His Eye continues to go from strength to strength and should not be troubled by a 3lb hike after landing a first victory on Turf when scoring here last month. The concern is the step-up from what appears to be his optimum trip of seven furlongs, although he did score over this trip for William Haggas back in 2019. Unashamed battled on well to land a dead heat last time but is definitely unproven at the trip, having done all his racing over 6-7f. Ayr Empress and Ayr Poet have no such concerns as course and distance winners but do look somewhat exposed, whereas SHAHNAZ gives the impression of being on the upgrade and was a most decisive Hamilton winner around this trip recently. Flylikeaneagle has gone very well on both starts since joining Lucinda Russell and should do so again.
