In depth

Verdict

CITY WANDERER and Will He Dance were separated by a length when the pair clashed here in handicap company last month and meet on identical terms now. That victory took the career record of the winner to 4-23 whereas the runner-up remains 0-12 in all starts. There should be little between them again but the winning knowhow of the Carr inmate just affords him the edge. Genever Dragon has yet to win on the Flat either but does have a hurdles win on his CV and ran a sound race when third of 11 at Ripon when last seen. He wasn't disgraced the time before either and is well worth a place on the shortlist. Lizzie Loch and Uccello both need to improve and the jury is out on the lightly-raced Braes Of Doune and the market may prove the best guide to him after his unseat on handicap bow.
