Verdict
Grit can take this at the principal expense of Ride A White Swan and Jevington Star. Mick Channon has been quick to return the Salisbury winner back to the racecourse before the handicapper has his say and in fairness to the son of Clodovil, there was absolutely no fluke about that success. Ride A White Swan is relatively unexposed. He has solid claims if settling early. Jevington Star is persisted with in the blinkers. He ran respectably in plating company but more is needed. Distant Rock was highly tried as a juvenile in Ireland but has failed to sparkle since a fair third in a Pontefract maiden. Low Flyer has been easy to back in recent handicaps. Dnata Flyer is beginning to look very expensive and it is to be hoped that his recent run at Newcastle was nothing more than a horrendous day at the office. Forrest Star is making a handicap debut so the market is closely inspected for any clues. Grit looks to have been presented with an easy opportunity for a follow up and we seek not to oppose.
