Verdict

It is difficult to ignore the claims of Investment Affair and the Mark Johnston-trained gelding is given the nod over Magic Mammas Too, Manx Fizz and Machrihanish. The selection was found out by the drop back to seven furlongs at Redcar last time but will be much better suited to the trip today. He had Manx Fizz just over three lengths behind when winning at Ayr last month, and he is fancied to confirm the form; despite being 5lb worse off today. Magic Mamma's Too, and Machrihanish have a little to find on these terms, so it is probably best left to Investment Affair to continue the excellent run of form shown by his stable's runners.
