In depth

Verdict

A very competitive looking affair to end the card and we will side with Montillia, Beverley Beau and Fox Covert are also worthy of a mention. Chris Wall's four-year-old doesn't take too much racing but has plenty of ability. She looked on the way back to her best last time when chasing home Millfields Dreams at Folkestone. With more progression likely she should be capable of taking a race of this standard. Beverley Beau hit winning form last time, beating Mostanad in Hamilton claimer. He doesn't look badly treated on his return to handicaps and he should be there or thereabouts again today. Fox Covert's recent form figures look uninspiring however he is now down to a very handy mark and would certainly go very close on the pick of last season's form. New Options and Rosie's Result can also be given a squeak on the pick of their form, however Montillia has more scope for improvement than most of these and she gets the nod.
