Verdict
Strangely Brown will be a warm order here and should be capable of beating Astyanax and Hathlen. This improving three-year-old is after a four-timer following victories at Nottingham, Sandown and Ayr. On each occasion he has won with something in hand so could still be well ahead of the assessor. Sir Mark Prescott's Astyanax will be a big danger despite his welter burden, after making High Point pull out all the stops at Yarmouth recently. Hathlen could also go well at a decent price, Mick Channon's three-year-old hasn't shown his true ability in recent efforts, but comes right into the equation on his earlier success at Sandown. Kristensen appears well held by the selection, so best of the remainder could be Pilgrims Progress, but for the winner it has to be Strangely Brown.
