Verdict
Scrutiny of a draw bias over the minimum trip here proved to be inconclusive last season, so a position on the outside may not be a hindrance to Strathay, who may just have the edge on her stablemate Hillside Heather, although Majestical and Staffan are others that have solid form at this sort of level and are also worth considering. Majestical is sure to be a popular choice with many after winning two of his last three starts on the All Weather. Milton Bradley has a good record at this track and any support from the betting market will obviously enhance to his claims. However, he is now on a career highest mark and he looks vulnerable today. Straffan has form that ties in with Bradley's charge and it is safe to assume there will be very little between the pair today. Still, he has a little to find and other look a little better treated. Hillside Heather is a course and distance winner that is a speedy sort on her day. Nevertheless, the handicapper took due notice of her last outing and an 8lb rise in the weights does nothing to aid her cause this afternoon. Therefore, a chance is taken that there is still a bit more to come from Strathay, who is unexposed at the trip. The fitting of a visor did the trick for her when she last raced at this course and, with Franny Norton already knowing plenty about how she should be ridden, Strathay can represent great value in this company.
