      Verdict

      Robot Boy has managed to win eight times but was beaten in a Southwell seller in February. DESERT ACE has won 11 races, including one over the course and distance. He's now on his lowest-ever mark on his 69th start and can go again even though stablemate The Defiant is also starting to look well handicapped. Gleniffer improved with racing last summer, ending with a very close third behind today's rival Bashiba over the course and distance. The pair are closely matched again but the selection was a close third to the latter here in September and is slightly better off. Gowanbuster has had his last five starts at Newcastle and has never won on Turf.
