In depth

Verdict

A decent little contest for the track here with half a dozen having a chance and we will side with Folk Tune to get the better of Masafi. Folk Tune gets a 15lb pull with top weight Idarah for a five length reversal when the pair met at Hexham in April, and that can prove decisive. Murphy has his runners in form, and with Graham Lee on board plus a couple of pipe openers to get him straight he can take his opportunity today. Idarah clearly has a tough task at those weights but is in cracking form and can go well, however, Masafi probably looks the main danger. Second at Carlisle last time, he is raised a fair looking 4lb and with his yard flying now he should go close. Andijan and Stainley both look in need of a drop in the weights, and Guerilla also looked to have too much on his back at Cartmel last time, and a better proposition may be Tiger King, who is a stone higher than his last win but has been improving in defeat and is from a yard going well. Even so, Folk Tune looks to have been found an opening here and we hope he can take his chance.
