      Verdict

      Caj gets the verdict over 'morning glory' Candyland, while Joseph Locke has hinted at ability and is also respected. Joseph Locke has experience of this course and has a race of this nature within his capabilities. However, quite whether he is capable of giving weight away at this stage of his development is debateable and he needs to pull something out of the fire today. Candyland apparently works like a dream at home and has dropped a couple of hints that her turn is not too far away. However, she also let her supporters down badly as a well supported favourite last time and, as her limitations are there to see, she makes limited appeal at cramped odds. Therefore, Caj makes more appeal as a sporting option on this occasion. The daughter of Tagula has very little to find to figure strongly at this level and, with Liam Jones' 5lb claim doing no harm, a bold attempt can be anticipated in a race that will not live very long in the memory.
