In depth

Verdict

INISHTEARAGHT was a disappointing favourite at Clonmel after a narrow victory over today's rival Atlas Peak at Wexford but the quarter-mile longer trip was her downfall and she can get back to winning ways under her very promising rider. The runner-up will be fancied to turn the tables though he ran poorly over timber at Sligo subsequently. Applertreemagic is held on that Wexford run but continues in good form and has since run well at Gowran. Patrickswell dropped down to the minimum trip to score at Navan at the end of last month but stays this trip well enough and is reasonably treated.
