Verdict

Akasaka is very much on the upgrade and quickened nicely to beat Casela Park at Leopardstown but the runner-up is 7lb better off and must have more than a fair chance of reversing the form. Good Time Sue has generally competed at a higher level and ran another fine race behind Printmaker at Gowran. Dermot Weld tries Manacor in blinkers after a poor run over 1m2f at the Curragh and they could work the oracle while Opening Nite was in good form on Polytrack in the spring and has no problems with turf as he scored at Ayr in September. JOE EILE has yet to prove he stays this trip but wasn't stopping when a close second to Simla Sunset in a very tough handicap over 7f at the Curragh on Saturday and a repeat would see him very difficult to beat.
