Verdict

DOCTOR PHOENIX has done brilliantly since transferred to Gordon Elliott having gained his second victory on his fourth start for the yard in a Grade A handicap at Fairyhouse. He's still rated 2lb behind stable companion Ball D'Arc, a winner at this level over the track and trip in November, but is receiving 9lb so should have the edge. American Tom was beaten 6l in that latter event then disappointed at Thurles so looks held while Tell Us More has plenty to do. Alisier D'irlande has spent most of his career at the top level without looking good enough though he would have a chance on his narrow defeat in a Grade 2 at Navan in November.
