Verdict

GORDON LORD BYRON is getting on but still perfectly capable of winning a race of this nature and his second place behind Expert Eye in the Sky Bet Duke Of York was his best run for a very long time. Aidan O'Brien has won this for the past two years and had four original entries. Battle Of Jericho represents the yard this time and he's competed at Group 1 and 2 level since landing a very tough handicap at the Curragh though has to concede weight to the selection. Mr Scarlet, runner-up to Intelligence Cross in this last year, hasn't won since his juvenile days and though he's been running in decent company recently he hasn't been showing enough.
