Verdict
Bilbo Bagins won this in 2019 and Conright Boy scored a year ago. The latter is 3lb lower here and though most of his recent runs have been over hurdles he's better over fences. Espion Du Chenet has his jumping problems which once again surfaced at Thurles where he was disputing the lead when unseating three out. He has an obvious chance if managing a clear round, a remark that also applies to STOUGHAN CROSS. A winner over 2m4f here on his return from a long absence, he also fell three out while in the lead at Fairyhouse and can return to winning ways. Batcio will have needed his comeback at Naas and is well enough treated on the balance of his form to get involved in the finish with his rider's claim a plus.
