Verdict

BENEFIT RUN has been raised 8lb for a very convincing victory at Sligo on Monday but that doesn't look enough to prevent a quick double as he had plenty in hand. Whatsinthecorner has scored twice over hurdles in recent weeks and connections are attempting to exploit an 11lb lower mark over fence so he has to be a major threat. Cusp Of Carabelli ran an excellent race in a much stronger event at Galway in July and made a couple of costly mistakes when well supported at Tramore. Crimson Chief, a close second over fences at Tramore in July, battled to victory over timber at Downpatrick last month and isn't out of this with his rider's claim a plus.
