In depth

Verdict

Masaccio, a useful bumper, made an instant impact over hurdles at Chepstow and won’t be far away here, despite a penalty. Emailandy also carries 6lb extra but he was a very easy winner at Plumpton and his yard has won this with some smart performers in the last three years. Il Va De Soi probably ran better than expected at Ascot but Mi Sueno and Dixie Flyer are fully exposed while Kayf Dancer may need today’s experience. JINGKO BLUE was very green when failing to land the odds at Warwick but still found only one too good and the points winner looks a better bet than stablemate Jeu Des Champs.
