In depth

Verdict

Harry Hunt was just beaten over 2m on the Flat at Goodwood last month while Teak ran in the Cesarewitch, though the latter has been well below his best this year. Patsys Castle didn't take to fences but has now won his last four races over hurdles. He had Decimus back in third over a longer trip at Warwick in September, though his now 10lb worse off. CARRE NOIR ran well enough off this sort of mark after winning at Newton Abbot in April. He should stay 3m this term, though the lack of a recent run is a worry. Come On Laurie hasn't had much racing over the last 18 months but is thrown in on his best form and Cucklington still has plenty of scope.
