In depth
Verdict
Barman was under pressure when falling at Chepstow but is only a pound higher than when winning previously at Warwick. The Gipper did well last season and could pick up a decent handicap this winter, especially when the ground turns soft. The booking of Richard Johnson for Barizan is interesting as the top weight had a pipe-opener on the Flat recently. Clayton could figure if in the mood while Astre De La Cour beat a big field off a higher mark at Aintree last year. PETER THE MAYO MAN can take this step up in grade in his stride and complete the hat-trick as he doesn't look badly treated on his handicap debut.
