Newcomer Miss Anticipation is a daughter of Roger Charlton’s star sprinter Bated Breath and is one to monitor in the market. Other debutantes to note include Kiruna Peak, Madeleine Bond and Aureana with the latter bred to be speedy. Ariena made a pleasing debut when third in a similar contest at Salisbury and will surely improve and Stop The Wages has shown enough on both starts to be a player here. However, MADAM DANCEALOT (NAP) followed up a debut crammed with promise when beaten less than a length by Coventry Stakes runner-up Mehmas with a perfectly satisfactory mid-division finish behind Lady Aurelia in the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot. The horse that finished one place ahead of her that day was Roly Poly, a subsequent Group 3 winner at the Curragh, so Joseph Tuite's filly should go very close returned to this level.
