Verdict

A run-of-the-mill fillies' handicap can be taken by EQUININE, while Sweet Possession and My Best Bet are likely to give her most to do. The Barry Hills-trained selection has not yet won in five starts, but always looked more likely to do better at three, and she made a pleasing reappearance over course and distance last time. She acts on a sound surface and this trip really should be ideal for her at present, so we will take her to come good. Sweet Possession has been slipping in the handicap in three runs this season and should certainly have the ability to compete from today's mark. The return to this trip is also likely to be favourable so she should be thereabouts. Volochkova represents a stable whose runners are going well despite not having many winners of late, and the same fate is likely to befall this War Chant filly. Lucy Brown is probably likely to show us more now handicapping than in three maiden runs, and it would not take a great deal of imagination to see her put up a bold showing in this company. Little else makes appeal and Equinine is selected.
