The once-useful Major Jumbo slips further down the weights but is beginning to look a light of former days. BARBILL was no match for Great Ambassador at Kempton in March but May Sonic was only fourth that day and is now 4lb worse off having subsequently won a three-runner race at Chelmsford. Aplomb has switched stables but is seeking a fifth career victory and is a decent handicapper when in the mood. He will have his ground so can’t be ignored. Beyond Equal looks the pick of the remainder.
