Verdict

Richard Hannon's stable has a good record in this maiden having won it three times in the last eight years. His KING OF ROOKS is the only one with racecourse experience having shaped nicely over 5f at Ascot, despite finding the trip too short. He looks certain to be in the firing line and gets the nod but stablemate Whitecliff Park is also worth noting. Frankie's presence on board John Gosden's Predilection suggest a big run is anticipated while Alabaaly and Captain Joey have some fancy entries. This may turn out to be a stronger heat than the first division as Cogent and Inherent Vice are also worth a second look with a view to the future.
