In depth

Verdict

The unbeaten Tamborrada made a winning start in handicaps when scoring by a neck at Doncaster but is 8lb higher. River Alwen has been raised 5lb for winning at Newmarket and several of these go handicapping for the first time. That list includes BAY BRIDGE (NAP), who won a novices race at Newcastle by a wide margin on his reappearance, with an entry in a Group 2 at next month’s Royal Ascot suggesting big things are expected of Sir Michael Stoute's charge this year. Highland Rocker landed the odds upped to 1m4f at Ripon while Dubawi Sands scored over today’s trip at the latter track and King Frankel made all in a three-runner maiden race at Pontefract.
