Verdict

This Listed contest usually attracts a good field and this year's renewal is up to standard. Legendary Lunch concedes weight all round under race conditions but will appreciate the return to 6f and stable companion Sterling Silva looks the sort of tough juvenile the Hannon team will improve again. However, NOBLY BORN was impressive when breaking her maiden at Yarmouth, a track where John Gosden has often sent his better juveniles. He faces similar conditions now and can take the step-up in class in his stride. Miss Infinity is not ruled out as the sole filly in the line-up as she's clearly on the improve but the main threat may come from Mokarris, an impressive Haydock winner on debut, he's surely better than his poor effort in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot and it would be good to see him confirm the promise of that initial success. Kodiline battled on well to repel a classy newcomer at Windsor and could also get involved.
