Verdict
Swan Nebula can make her experience count against some well-regarded newcomers including the likes of Dubai Surprise, Cassydora and Sadie Thompson. This is another contest to make a note of for the future, and the vote goes to Swan Nebula whose stable have an impressive strike-rate with their juveniles. The daughter of Seeking The Gold ran green on her Doncaster debut but got the hang of things near the finish to run the winner Deeday Bay to three-parts of a length. Entered for the Lowther, she should have come on a bundle and with Frankie Dettori in the plate, will be a popular choice. Dubai Surprise is by King's Best, and being a half-sister to Liffey, will come into her own when put over a mile in due course, while the well-bred Cassydora comes from a stable whose newcomers generally need a run before showing their true colours. Mick Channon saddles both Kalmini and Sadie Thompson, and it is the latter who has been catching the eye at home. Amanda Perrett is finally emerging from the doldrums so it would be no surprise if Proud Scholar were to shape well. However, with a race under her belt, Swan Nebula should have the edge.
