In depth
Verdict
A pin might come in handy here and it is more in hope than optimism that Bi Polar is selected ahead of Gallery Breeze, Star of Light and Tuscarora. This is a real head-scratcher, but on recent form Bi Polar deserves to come good and is taken to go one better than when second to Fen Gypsy at Kempton nine days ago. David Elsworth's charge was in the lead until collared a furlong out and was only half-a-length adrift at the finish. The winner was not beaten too far on a return visit to Kempton on Wednesday and so Bi Polar should at least run well again. Gallery Breeze showed that he has maintained last season's form when returning with a narrow success at Doncaster. A small rise in the weights should not bother him too much, but Tuscarora might be anchored by a six-pound rise for a recent Windsor victory. That was over a mile though and this shorter trip should help. Star of Light finished on a high last backend but may be best watched on this return to the fray, and in a tricky finale we return to Bi Polar who at least has fitness on his side.
