In depth

Verdict

Global Esteem carries 5lb extra after returning the surprise winner over a longer trip at Ascot but the less exposed DEPUTY makes more appeal. The latter came good over course and distance last month and there looks more to come from him. Sir Roderic went close at Chepstow a week ago but this is tougher while Brunel Charm has yet to win on Turf and Amathus recorded both victories to date over 6f.
