Whirly Bird, Mustajed,War At Sea and Spear Thistle are a handful against the field in a tough race to call for punters and the vote is given to Whirly Bird. The selection has won his last two races in good style and although this is a step up in class for him he won with plenty in hand when beating Dandygrey Russett last time and although he is rising in the weights he is taken to win this before going on to better things. Mustajed rates the main danger on his latest third behind Karlu but he just gave the impression he was in the handicappers grip on that occasion and with the drop in distance also looking against him he looks worth taking on. War At Sea is another worthy of respect as he hails from a yard in top form but he will need to improve on his latest fourth behind Front Stage to win off this mark. Spear Thistle was a fair fourth behind Pagan Sword last time and is another with place claims especially as this longer trip should suit. Of the remainder Sangiovese and Kintbury Cross are well in on some of their best form and could go well at a price under conditions that suit but Whirly Bird is taken to win this before going on to better things.
