Verdict
Milk It Mick may have surprised many at the time when landing the Dewhurst but the form of the race has worked out well and, having had a spin on the all-weather two weeks ago, Jamie Osborne's stable star should be spot on for this and is taken to resume winning ways at the main expense of Fokine and Fort Dignity. The last mentioned created a favourable impression when scoring at Yarmouth on his debut but this represents a big step up in class and a bigger threat may come from the Barry Hills-trained Fokine. The Gimcrack runner-up failed to reproduce his York form in two subsequent starts but his stable is in good form at present and the son of Royal Academy has to be respected. Nero's Return disappointed on his return in the Easter Stakes last time and is surely better than he showed at Kempton, while Hugh Morrison's So Will I and David Elsworth's Salford City are both unexposed and open to improvement. However, Milk It Mick has done little wrong and should strip fitter for his return at Lingfield a fortnight ago. He gets the vote.
