Verdict
Plenty of promising types compete here where the two starts so far from MAKAAMEN have been impressive enough for that one to be preferred here ahead of Cloudy Start and Noverre To Go. The pick progressed impressively from a good debut to score by three and a half lengths last time out. The form has so far been weak from that but he is well related enough to improve and be better than his mark suggests on handicap debut. Cloudy Start has looked progressive in three runs and landed a good ground maiden last time with ease. He didn't beat that much that day and it could be his mark is on the high side but he should go well for a yard who are starting to fire. Noverre To Go has been going well on the polytrack this season but is just as effective on turf and should be involved off a mark five pounds higher than his last success. Daddy's Gift has the same mark increase to overcome but has looked like an improver in his last two starts while Fareer seems to have it all to do off a rating seven pounds worse off than his last run. This is a decent handicap where Makaamen has the call.
