Verdict

Creachadoir is the one we want to have on our side here although it was hard not to be impressed with Phoenix Tower and Cesare last time. The selection made a winning start for new connections in a Newmarket Group 3 last October before failing to see out ten furlongs in the Champion Stakes. He ran a brilliant race to be beaten just a short-head by Good Ba Ba in the Hong Kong Mile on his penultimate start and can be forgiven his latest start as the race wasn't run to suit. Rain would be a concern but he's an exciting prospect. So too is Phoenix Tower who made light of traffic problems on his return at Newmarket. He displayed a smart turn of foot to extricate himself that day and the chance of this lightly raced colt shouldn't be taken lightly. Cesare is respected but opposable with the likes of Arabian Gleam and Tariq in the field as both are very talented performers but have yet to prove their stamina. Haradasun has top class form to his name in Australia and is watched with interest whilst the luckless Rob Roy cannot be ignored. A cracking renewal of this prestigious contest which can go to Creachadoir as long as the rain stays away.
