In depth

Verdict

Our suggestion, Dr Brass, Eqbaal and Crazy About You have all done enough to suggest that they can win a maiden granted normal improvement. Dr Brass was green as grass on debut but ran on takingly once the penny dropped and he'll be wiser now. Whether he's good enough to get the better of today's rivals, only time will tell but he should be in the mix. Amaakin has been the subject of glowing reports in his time and could outclass the opposition if living up to expectations but he got upset at the start on his intended debut earlier this season and had to be withdrawn; he's probably best watched. Eqbaal ran well for a long way over an inadequate mile here in April and should be all the better for the experience and today's trip. Gaia Prince chased home a promising sort at Windsor with Crazy About You also catching the eye at the same venue. Byblos and Belotto are others heading in the right direction whilst Secret Dancer and Shecher Para are interesting newcomers. That's more or less the whole field covered and Dr Brass is no more than a nominal selection.
