    Verdict

Regal Flush can make a winning return to the track with victory coming at the main expense of Red Gala and Balkan Night. The selection signed off for Sir Michael Stoute with a fourth placed finish in the St Leger and this is a suitable starting point to his new campaign before his sights are raised. His stable are just beginning to get into their stride and there should be plenty more to come from the son of Sakhee if he progresses at the rate he did last season. Sir Michael Stoute has a fantastic record in this race and he relies on Red Gala today. He's relatively lightly raced and looks to be coming to himself if his run at Chester is anything to go by; he has a little to find at the weights but looks more than capable of bridging the gap. Malt Or Mash wouldn't want any rain and has his stamina to prove but Spanish Hidalgo and Tranquil Tiger should both be in the shake-up come the closing stages. That pair are open to more improvement which cannot be said of Balkan Knight but David Elsworth's veteran should be ready to fire following his pipeopener and was only beaten a head in this race in 2006. All six runners have live claims but Regal Flush may be the ace in the pack.
