In depth

Verdict

Plenty of chances as usual here but NUGGET makes plenty of appeal. Progressive throughout his three-year-old campaign, he remains lightly-raced for his age and a mark of 92 looks more than workable. Crucially, he enjoyed a nice 'prep' for this when a solid third at Nottingham this month and should be spot-on now with Ryan Moore booked. Danyah houses similar credentials and should certainly be in the mix after a useful performance in the Lincoln when beaten just over four lengths into fourth by Haqeeqy. Johan is noteworthy too, although he's pretty high in the weights, but another good season is anticipated. He's worth a place on the shortlist along with the utterly unexposed Troll Peninsula, impressive at Kempton latest and now tackling grass for only the second time in just four starts.
