Verdict
Berkshire Royal was only beaten half-a-length by Austrian School at Chester eight days ago and races off the same mark with Jason Watson again taking off 5lb. But KING’S PROCTOR (NAP) ran in the Dee Stakes on the same day and kept on well for third, despite proving no match for the first two. If allowed an easy lead, he might take some pegging back. Westbrook Bertie and First Eleven finished 1-2 at Salisbury but the runner-up should take his revenge here on 6lb better terms. Starcaster could make the frame again but Night Story and Caspar The Cub are having a first run on Turf and look high enough in the weights.
