Verdict
With dual winner Tabarrak a late withdrawal, Richard Hannon’s sole representative is Watan but he looks to have a bit to find to give his yard a third win in four years. Kinross looks the pick of the three-year-olds, head of Jovial, on his latest fourth at Haydock but that was over a mile, which appears to be his best trip, and the drying ground is also a negative. Older horses have won the last three and Charlie Appleby fields a couple of likely candidates in D'bai, who has won at a higher level and was successful over this trip at Haydock in July, and GLORIOUS JOURNEY. The latter won the Group 2 Hungerford Stakes over course and distance just over a year ago and was still working his way back to full fitness when behind Symbolize here last month. This is a significant drop in grade and that form can be reversed today.
