      Verdict

Warm Spell returns to action after posting a sound runner-up effort on debut at Goodwood 40 days ago. He did not enjoy the smoothest of passages after a tardy start and did well in the circumstances. He steps up in trip here and the winner that day hasn't been disgraced since at Royal Ascot and the July meeting. He is the obvious form choice but DOUBLE JUMP is an interesting alternative at what should be a decent each-way price. He improved from first to second start and is expected to do so again as this seventh furlong should be to his liking. Stable juveniles have been running well of late and he's a speculative choice. Bjorn Ironside and Blue Collar should benefit from their respective debuts and Allegorical and Mai Dubai appeal most of some interesting newcomers.
