Probably fair to say FOX JOURNEY (NAP) hasn't fully built on his winning seasonal reappearance when proving far too good for Mighty River and company in a useful Newmarket handicap. He ran a fair race when upped two levels in a good Epsom handicap and then beaten under two lengths when a staying-on fourth at Pontefract. Left on an unchanged mark after those defeats, the feeling is he has more to give. This galloping track should play to his strengths and he merits another chance. Brave Knight really ran into one last time and still appeals as being favourably treated. It's interesting to see him left on an unchanged mark too despite a ten-length beating. He's open to plenty of improvement and is shortlisted along with the consistent trio of Temporize, Dasho Lennie and Sovereign Spirit.
